"NILLA! Nilla where are you?" Cried Batty. He circle around and around, back and fourth, front straight and back, searching for her. Where could she be?" He watch as he saw Crysta and Pips carrying Zak to safely. The human seem to be lively okay but poor Batty's mind was more on his crush. He had to find her and see if she was unharm. He squited his eyes searching carefully, knowing that she was somewhere near the big water if he had just look hard enough. Til finally, he spotted her!! "NILLA!!" He called, but the she bat didn't answer. There he saw Nila; floating on a burned out piece that look like it came from the top of the building, just mintues before drowning. Batty quickly swoon in on time and grab her by the collar with his feet just on time before she had completely sunk.
Pips and Crysta already had Zak carry to land on time when they saw Batty carrying Nilla. But rather than stopping by where his friends were, Batty went to the far other left side, just a couple of feet away from them. Batty flap his wings frantically trying harder to keep up on his strength but for some reason, he couldn't carry Nilla too much from her collar. It put on too much weight. He panted tiredly and drop down along with Nilla to the ground. For them, the nice soft ground broke their fall and they were unharmed. Batty lifted his upper body to pull himself up and there she was, lying on his lap. "Leslie! Leslie wake up!!" He says, shaking her lightly. For some odd reason, Batty was calling her by her old fake name. Forgetting that she was really Nilla than a Leslie. He kept trying to wake her up, but it was pointless. Leslie was gone. "Leslie? LESLIE NOO!!!" He lifted his head crying out loud. Tears had sum down from his poor sad face. "Ohh Leslie..." He sniff, taking a breath. He held her close in his arms and cuddle her softly.

Crysta and Zak watched Batty as he landed after carrying Leslie (Nilla). Crysta hung her head believing that she was dead as well before Zak hugged her trying to comfort her as she cried silently. He felt bad for Batty he did love the she bat after all. He wanted to say something to him but he wasn't sure what to say so he remained silent and bowed his head in silent remorse. 'This is all my fault...she'd be alright if she hadn't come back for me....' he thought

Somewhere around up in the sky, Mattie found himself lost near the clouds searching for his herd. He had no idea where they were or how they got seperated like that after escaping from the building before the explodsion. Taking a break, Mattie landed on the ground near by a tree behind him. He heard someone sobbing; someone that he know where the sound was coming from. Mattie peek his head from his tree spot and found Batty cradling Leslie (aka Nilla) in his batty wings/arms. But instead of growling angerily as he would usually do when something would upset him typical, Mattie's eyes linger and lower his ears down in silent. But his ears picked up the sound of other silent sobbing too. He saw not so far ahead from where Batty and Leslie were that his friends, Zak, Crysta and Pips were also crying for their dear friend too. For the first time, Mattie felt a strange feeling he never felt inside his heart before; a moment of guilt and sorrow. He now finally saw why Batty was so crazy for Nilla, but it was only a matter of time before he can know if they were truly meant to be. If Nilla would wake up, Mattie would know that she was the right mate to belong to Batty. "Come on Nilla! Prove to Batty that you love him!" The dark bat thought silently in his own personal train of thoughts. Batty couldn't let his lover go. Even in death or unbehold truth, Batty would still love the she-bat just for the way she was. His eyes were nearly getting red from crying so much; he rested his head on top of hers as more tears came falling from his poor sad face. Batty cried so hard that one of his tears drip down and landed near Nilla on the face or on her fur. He open his eyes again and let the tears continue falling down when he began to run his single claw through Nilla's green truffle hair. He look up in the sky just a few seconds before singing softly. You will be my wings
You will be my only love
You will take me far above the starsBatty wasn't so sure what made him started to sing, but something inside his gut and heart tells him that he should of. So he continue. You will lift me high above
Everything we're dreaming of will soon be ours
Anything that we desire
Anything at all
Everyday you'll take me higher...Batty stop again pausing in his thoughts if this was the right thing to do. "Be practical Batty! Nilla's never coming back!!" One side of his thoughts told him, but another side of him tells him that he should of continue. He didn't know what to do. He look down at his lover sadly and said in a depressing tone "I love you Nilla." Then he lean down and gave her a kiss before burrying his face towards by her shoulder. The light from the heavens of sky broke down and shine towards the two fruit bats. Nilla finally felt life in her again and flutter her eyes open. She found herself held by none other than Batty who was still crying. She put her wing around him patting on the back gently and smile gently rasing the tone of her voice into song. "AND I'LL NEVER LET YOU FALL!!" Batty jumped back startled by suprised when the most beautiful voice sang in return close to him. "Nilla! You're alive!!" He says happily and wraps his arms around her for a big hug. "Wow! I can't believe that work!" Thought Mattie still standing from his spot by the tree. OOC: That was the reprise version of Let Me Be Your Wings from Thumbelina. I just had to threw that in on purpose to make the moment feel right  |

Zak and Crysta stare surprised as they heard Leslie's (Nilla) voice. "Leslie- Nilla..you're..you're alive" Crysta says in a surprised yet happy tone though her voice cracked slightly since she had been crying a moment ago. Zak smiled slightly relieved to see she was alright since he couldn't bear the guilt had she had died because she chose to save him. Overwhelmed by her joy Crysta fly over to Leslie (Nilla) hugging her. "Thank goodness you're alright" she says.
Zak meanwhile slipped out quietly and unnoticed by the group he decided to give them all a couple moments alone while he assesed the damage done to the building figuring they wouldn't miss him much at the moment anyhow.

Batty was so proud that Nilla was okay, but the she-bat had to let go of the hug when Crysta stop by to give her her own hug. Pips stood there quietly, sniffed by the happy moment, but he didn't say much. He rather keep his business to himself than to be showing it off that would make him crave in with one of the others. He turn to look at Zak, only to catch him slipping out quietly. "Zak?" He glance back at Crysta and Batty hugging Nilla, but he decided for himself that they shouldn't come along after what nearly happen with the she-bat, so he went on his own to go after Zak and follow him to make sure that nothing bad would ever happen to him.
Batty, Crysta and Nilla were too busy at the moment to be into high spirits and that their joyous celebration had to be cut down when an interruption had follow. "AHEM!" The sound came from Mattie, who was leaning back against a tree with his arms crossed. "Oh no!" Batty thought worriedly.

Crysta looked up hearing Mattie. "Mattie? What are you doing here?' She asks in the calmest tone she could muster not wanting to start a fight with the bat

"Lemmie handle this." Nilla tells Batty and Crysta, giving them a gesture to take care of the situation before it can get into another ugly fight. "Listen Mattie, I--" She began, but Mattie held his wing up to stop her from talking. "Save it Nilla! You're outta the herd!" He said.
Batty and Nilla look at each other moment tempter rarely like they thought Mattie had lose his marbles. "What!?"
"You heard what I said. Out! You're putting too much weight in my herd. The bats need to fly free and solo. We can't expect lesser bats to slow us down." Mattie explained. Batty scratch his his head in confusion as he was trying to avoid touching his wires. "Mmmm-hmmm. WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE REAL MATTIE?!" He cried. "Batty!!" Nilla said giving him a quick glaring look. Though it may of not seem that way to them, it wasn't hard to follow that Mattie had a change of heart, he was just too proud to admit that compare to his jerky attitude towards Batty and his friends.
"Ah right on cue!!" Mattie said with a smile when he saw that his entire flock of bats had return for him. Mattie was getting ready to leave, but before that could happen, he gave Batty and the others a quick wink and flap his wings to leave. "Take care of her." He said whisperly looking back down from the animals on the earth as he was still flying sorely through the sky; back and reunited with his only herd of bats. Nilla and Batty stare in silent. "Did--did you see that?!" Batty exclaimed. He hoped he wasn't the only one that was going crazy from seeing that quick wink from Mattie's eye. "I don't believe it! Do you realize what this means?" Nilla asked Crysta and Batty.
Batty thought trainlessly. "YES! Errr...no, but could you explain it to me what happen?" He asked. He didn't think they were following on the same page.

Crysta smiled. "She means that Mattie has had a change of heart and has decided to let Nilla stay with us or more importantly with you" Crysta says. Before turning to where she had left Zak and Pips. "Zak, Pips isn't this wonderf-" she stopped when she noticed both of them were gone. "Zak? Pips?" she calls

"Me? But that's...I mean..." He laughed lightly in a nervous tone. "You sure we're talking about the same Mattie?" Nilla put her arm around Batty's shoulder and lean her head near him smiling. "Batty, were you trying to do all of this to impress me?" She asked with a small flirtaious look from her eyes. Batty's face blush again. "I...I....Oh look! Zak and Pippy..or...Piper, Peter fighter pizza...uhh whatever his name is are gone!!" Batty pointed out. Nilla look at Batty's pointed claw and notice Pips and Zak were missing too. "Huh! Wonder where they run of too." Nilla says.

"I am going to find them" Crysta says to Batty and Leslie (Nilla) before flying off to search for Pips and Zak as she was worried about them now and wondered why they had run off without saying anything.

"Wait! We wanna come with you!!" Nilla says trying to follow Crysta, but Batty thought of the same thing Crysta was thinking and pulled Nilla by the wing and yank her back. "Do what the little bug says, I trust her!" Batty rapidly said. Nilla gave Batty a look that says that she refuse to sit down alone and watch their little fairy friend go after the human and other fairy by herself.
"What? NO! We HAVE to go. What if something happen to her...or to them?!" Cries Leslie (Nilla), but Batty had stood his ground with straight wingy arms cross and stuck-up look from the face. "Na-uh! We're not going, you think I wanna lose you again? NO!" He said stubbornly. Nilla thought about using her flirty act again, but there was no time to play pranks. "Batty, why are acting this way?" Said Nilla sadly in a hurtful and angry look. From that tone, Batty could tell that she was feeling upset. He wanted to rescue Pips and Zak too, but he couldn't let Nilla face another near death danger experience again. He wouldn't be the kind to be that overprotective.
"I thought you were different than Mattie, but you're the same!!" Says Nilla. Alone or together, Nilla knew rescusing them was the right thing to do. That was the way how independant she was. She frown at Batty before leaving. A frown that tells Batty that she was sorry, but knowing that it was needed to be face alone. And with that, the she-bat left to go and follow Crysta.

Crysta hadn't heard the fight Leslie (Nilla) and Batty had just had nor did she know that Leslie (Nilla) was following her that very moment. Her mind was only on finding Zak and Pips as she was worried something might happen to them or worse that something had already happened to them.
Zak didn't notice Pips following him as he was lost in his own thoughts as he walked. 'Leslie almost died because of me...I can't believe she would risk her life for me like that...Would the others have hated me if she had died? I know I would....'

Batty still stay where he was, watching Nilla flying after Crysta. Thinking about those last words that she said to him really hurt his feelings. "Have I gone Mattie?!" He wonder to himself into thought. He wanted to try so hard to be the perfect bat and mate for Leslie, he couldn't think of himself becoming another Mattie to mistreat poor Nilla again. But then again, what were the consequences? Batty would never turn himself into a self-ego jerk.
"HEEEY! Little bug! Where are you?!" Nilla called, tracking Crysta down to the direction she try to follow. "What's her name again? Krystal? Christine? Chris-Sandra?!" She wonder trying to remember Crysta's name as she called out for her. The she-bat flap harder and harder til finally, she got closer and found her. "There you are! Need another scout girl for your look-out boy search?"
Meanwhile Pips was still trying to find Zak on his own. "Zak! Zak!" He called out. Sooner or later, he was about to get lost on another track of the forest.

Crysta stopped and turned to face Leslie (Nilla) as she flew up to her. "Sure" she said before asking "But why didn't Batty come with you?"
Meanwhile Zak stopped broading in his thoughts long enough to hear Pips calling his name. 'Guess I'd better go find him since he came after me' He thought before walking back in the other direction where he heard Pips. "Pips! Pips!'' he called so he could follow the sound of his voice to prevent him from getting lost

"Batty refused to let me go." Answer Nilla rolling her eyes for mentioning Batty's name. "I don't understand what's going on with him. He's been acting kinda funny since we rescue Mattie. Any clue what's doing this to him?" She asked Crysta wondering if the fairy girl had any idea what was causing Batty's behavior as they continue trying to find Pips and Zak.
