"We did! They have this strange yellow place where the black smoke's coming from and there's this big thing where it opens." Pips says to Crysta. "It's called a door little fairy." Leslie tells him. "She's right! Humans use those to keep things locked up." Batty says agreeing with Leslie's point.

"Then we need to go there find a way in and then rescue Mattie and the other bats" Crysta says. 'Yeah but how?' she added to herself in thought. She looked up at Zak he was staring at them trying to understand what they were saying. 'I wish I had my powers back then I could make Zak be able to see and understand us again' she thought but she knew at the moment that was impossible since they didn't even know what had caused her and pips to lose their magic and their ability to fly

"I got it!" Replies Leslie with one tap from the claw to her wing. "What do humans use when they can't communicate?" She asked Batty, Crysta and Pips. The two fairies were too clueless to understand the question, though they haven't known too much about humans. "Ummm...."
"Dial up for pizza?" Batty wildly guess as a stupid answer. "No, but close. Humans use these white shapes and a yellow stick thing to write things down if they can't use speed dial. I believe it's called....a note!" Leslie says. "A note?" Says Pips confused. "How are you gonna make a note in the middle of a forest?"
Leslie tap her chin thinking how she can find a way to tell Zak what was going on. Without paper and a pencil, telling down a message to Zak would be outta wack. The female fruit bat look around, hoping to find something that would work well like a pencil. That was until she found a stick on the ground that could work. "This will do!" She says, scooping the stick up. She flew over to Zak and landed in front of his feet, trying to do her best in writing a message in the dirt what was going on.

Zak stared at Leslie as she landed in front of him and appeared to be trying to write something. He stared at the ground trying to decipher what she was writing but to him it only looked like really bad gibberish as if a kid who didn't know how to write was writing him a message instead of the she-bat. "Um......" he says trying to read it but stops when he realized he couldn't.
Crysta walked over to see what Zak was trying to read but she too couldn't make it out. "I don't think he can read what you are writing" she says

Batty and Pips watch from the terrible messy writing Leslie try to make out for Zak, but they couldn't make it out either. "Wow I think you made it worse." Said Batty. Pips snicker from the silly writing he saw on the ground, before Batty could give him a look, he prevented himself from laughing out loud. Finally, another idea rose up from the young she-bat's mind. "Wait a sec! Batty remember when we were back at the lab, those animals in the cages told us stories humans use for the lights?" She reminded him.
Batty began to think, trying to remember. Last time he ever had a long converstation at the human resource lab, Leslie was the only animal in the same room he could talk for days and days. One wild idea then hit him like a ton of bricks. Other than speaking to Leslie back at the lab those days, he recalled a toad from a cage just below them, mention tall tales humans would do when they were out camping. "Ohh ohh ohh I know this, I know this! Was it...flashing lights and shadows?!" He took a best guess.
"That's it! If we can provide a light and a shadow for the human, he'll understand what we're trying to tell him!" Said Leslie with a smile upon her face.
"Ummm...news flash senorita, it's getting dark and we have no light to make a shadow!" Batty reminded, setting the idea down. "What about that sparkling thing from her collar?" Pips asked, pointing to the diamond shimmering shiny sparkles from the collar. "My diamond! That's it. Good thinking little bug. Batty I'm gonna need your help. Can you act out a shadow shaped like a creature?"
"Can I? Pffff! I don't know the meaning of the word!" Batty replied with a grin. "Batty just help your lady friend out." Pips said putting his hands on his hips. Leslie held the diamond with her claws the best that she could carefully without shining the light on anyone's face by accident. Dimfully, she held the diamond straight and keep the light on the tree still for Zak to see. "RAWR!!" Batty growled, pretending to make his shadow puppet acting like a monster destorying a city and eating so many lives of tiny little people. Leslie and Pips gave the fruit bat unwanted looks. "BATTY!!"
"Ohh sorry sorry!!" Batty said with a small light unhappy chuckle. He made another shadow, this time it look like in the shape of a bat carrying a fairy and next to it was a big buliding that look like the same one Leslie and Pips saw eariler. With trucks coming up to drop off some huge packs.

Crysta shook her head when Batty goofed off pretending to be a giant monster destroying a city while Zak arched an eyebrow before laughing. "Wow Batty, no more coffee for you" Zak joked before Batty showed the correct shadows. "That must be the factory where the bats were taken and the cages being unloaded from a truck...right?" Zak said as he watched the shadows. Crysta nodded "That's right" she says. 'At least this way works to communicate with Zak which is better than nothing' she thought pleased. "Well I would say then our best chance is to use the element of surprise" He says before adding "We'll sneak there when it is dark enough they shouldn't be expecting us then". "Perfect then we might be able to sneak in unnoticed free the bats and then get out of there" Crysta says

"That's perfect!" Leslie agreed. Before he could forget, Pips also pointed out "The building is surrounded by big rocks and a huge river. They got this long narrow thing to make those giant monsters get across." Pips says. As before, Leslie had to point out what those things Pips was trying to say. "He's talking about a bridge and truck." Then she turned to the former fruit bat who had been crushing on her.
"Batty, can you carry the little ones? I'll take care of the big one." She asked. Batty nodded his head fast as an answer to yes. "Great! This will be like following the leader." She said smiling. Leslie flap her wings and tug on Zak's hair to make him follow them while Batty offer Pips and Crysta a ride on his back.
"This way human! Come on follow me." Leslie said yanking on Zak's hair once more before taking the lead for the others to go after her.

"Ow, ow ow" Zak replies as Leslie pulled his hair and he carefully stood up. "I'm coming, I'm coming" He adds before following her letting Batty and Leslie go ahead of him

The sooner it got darker, the better. The people inside the building where they held Mattie and his pack of bats hostage had locked up the place in time before calling it a night. The left the lights on to make way for the lighting of the building. Soon after everyone had left and gone home, Leslie, that was still leading the way with her friends, including Batty, brought them to the final spot where they saw the building.
"This is it?" Askes Batty, feeling a little shakey. "Yeah that's the one. Looks like they left the lights on." Reply Pips. "Smoke's still coming off the rooftop. We might still have our chance to rescue them." Says Leslie.

"Yes but first we have to get inside" Crysta reminds them. Zak meanwhile looks at the building looking for a possible way to sneak in unnoticed. He smiled as he saw a window that was slightly open. 'Perfect' he thought. "Batty see that window?" Zak whispers "Fly over there and see what's inside" he adds

Batty agree, summoning the courage that was left in him and flew by the nearest window Zak pointed out, leaving Crysta and Pips behind with Leslie and Zak to take care of since they didn't have their fairy powers and flight yet. He peek his face to see what was inside, but the window was so slightly open as it appears, tweak down and Batty drop inside.

"Oh perfect, should've figured he would do that" Zak mumbled shaking his head.
"Oh no Batty, I hope he will be alright" Crysta says. Zak sighed before sneaking over staying as low to the ground as possible so not to be noticed and peeked through the window. "Psst Batty you okay?" he asks. "Batty?" he called again not noticing the two men coming up behind him. "Oh no Zak. Zak turn around!" Crysta yelled in a desperate attempt for Zak to hear her. Zak heard a small twig snap and quickly turned around but not quick enough for the next thing he knew he was knocked unconscious before being lifted and carried into the building the guys shutting the door behind them forgetting to shut the window

"SHH! Stay low!!" Leslie warned Crysta, hunching her body low to cover the fairies with her big wings and keeping quiet. They watch as they saw Zak getting caught red-handed by the two men and taking them inside. "Great! Now how we gonna save them?" Grunts Pips feeling upset. "The window's still open. Let's go inside and see if Batty's still there." Said Leslie, putting Crysta and Pips on her back before flying by the side of the window where Batty had fallen in. Lucky for them, the window was open enough for the bat and the fairies to squeeze in. As they enter through the window, it was guided by a long hallway but it didn't take that long for them to find Batty.
He was found lying on the ground with a small hit on the back of the head. "Batty are you okay?" Asked Pips, getting off Leslie's back. But Batty didn't answer, his head was still in a spin. To wake him up, Pips would had done expectly the unexpected for the fruit bat to be looking unharmed. He flick Batty's antennae, shocking the fruit bat. He leap from the ground and landed on time with his feet.
