Ferngully 3?

New topic that appear at the top of my head. It's been 11 years since we had the sequel to Ferngully and nothing has been annouced for a third one (If there ever will be) so it has come to my decison to ask the voters...do we want another Ferngully sequel? Yes or no? Explain why or why not.

Well for being maybe one of the highest Ferngully fans there is I dunno if I wanna see another sequel cause all the sequels these days in the 21st Century has been sorta hitting down hill a little with all of their bad storylines and changes, that would inclue the weak romances they throw in there on purpose. I say Ferngully II was probably one of the good sequels back from the late 90s cause back then when they started out, they didn't have a lot of romance in them expect for Pocahontas II: Journey to a Whole New World, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (that one only had a little bit of romance in there because Simba's daugther Kiara and Scar's heir Kovu got together) and Aladdin and the King of Thieves (That one has minor romance in there for a bit cause Aladdin and Jasmine got married. Romance is good only if it makes sense from the orginal!)

If there's any news for a Ferngully 3, I would like to see Zak again and try something more....uhhh...fancy and less for babies like they did with the second movie. But NO romance for Batty! Leave him the way he is!! I put my thoughts on romance for Crysta/Zak or Crysta/Pips. ROFL! A love triangle marathon XP

I never heard there was going to be a third movie to Ferngully....But since you brought it up I think I would like to see a third film. The second movie was alright while the first one rocked hard. I doubt Batty would get a girlfriend though but I wouldn't want him to get one either cause I like Nilla Joy's oc Nilla Joy (Leslie) too much for something like that to happen. I also would like to see Zak come back too, that fact I can't stress enough Lol, and maybe even Hexxus or a third movie based from the fanfic my friend RICEA42991 on fanfiction.net is making cause it's awesome

As for me, something along the lines of what you two have been saying. I mean, direct to video sequels haven't been the best for a while, but if they ever made a third movie, ( which unfortunately will probably never happenn. >, I think they shouldn't make it too kiddy. I mean, a lot of cartoons I've watched today, at least some of my favorites, they're not all-too-kiddy anymore. The one I watched that came back this weekend is targeted at young kids ( though they also have references and jokes that only adult/teenage fans of the fandom will understand),- was so incredibly dark, it was pretty much not exactly for kids anymore.


So, I think they should do that with a Ferngully third movie. Maybe go back as close to the first movie's style as they could, or do it in a new way- and perhaps something like everybody has to band together one last time to defeat Hexxus for good, you get your Zak/crysta or pips/crysta pairings, maybe even love triangleness, put a little twist of darkness in there, maybe a character death somewhere to make things more dramatic... I dunno. xD

What's the name of her Ferngully fanfic Katie? I've only read one fanfic over there where Batty is telling Crysta's children (whoever the real father was *shrugs*) how he and his sister were close to meeting humans, but it was 3 chapters long. I dunno if that place has enough Ferngully fanfics go around. You be surprised how little Open Season fanfics they got there!

I would have to say no to this. Why? you ask? Because I think the first one was such a classic they didn't really need a sequel. Plus I kinda feel like they would probably ruin FernGully with a 3rd one. So don't kill me but that's just how I kinda feel about sequels now.

Yeah, I'm worried about a sequel ruining the movies, too, but if they did it right and brought back all of the voice actors like they should've did with the second one, then I think it wouldn't be so bad.
