does anyone notice though the movie was done very well it left some parts from the book out? Like the fact that Crysta has sisters and a mother for one and Zak and Crysta kissing multiple times instead of just once and animals dying from all Hexxus' and the leveler's pollution Those are the ones I remember from the top of my head

I've never read the book before, but you gotta realize something and this is very important for all the movie-loving freaks; when hollywood makers are creating a movie that's based off the book, they always leave out some parts that aren't needed for some personal basic unknown reasons. Like for one example; one of my best friends tells me that she read the book called The Notebook (I watch the movie for the first time last year after we saw Body of Lies) and she tells me some pointers that are different than the movie version like for the one part and I hope this doesn't spoil it for anyone that haven't watch The Notebook, she tells me that the two lovers (I forget their names now. I'll have to watch it again) died at the final end, but in the book they didn't and there was something about owning a dog but there was no dog in the movie version. Also you may notice for those of the movies that AREN'T based off the books, when they release merchandise to sell and get money, I happen to notice the movie novels they make sometimes have lines that are different than the real ones from the orginal motion picture films. Like for example, Kung Fu Panda (I don't have the movie novel book for it, but I've look through some pages of it last year) there was a lot of minor changes on the orginal lines for the character like at the end when Shifu says "I'm not dead dummy!" instead of saying "I'm not dying you idiot!" I think I saw something like this from the Open Season movie novel too but I'll have to check into it sometimes. I can't remember, it's been too long since the last time I read it. Another perfect example is The Little Mermaid done by Hans Christian Anderson. We've seen how it goes and ends from the disney version, but I heard from the orginal tale and this is quite depressing, but in Hans' story, the mermaid cuts off her tongue to the witch rather than selling her voice to get her prince and at the end, instead of winning the man of her dreams, she winds up becoming a pile of dust or sand whatever it was but I know her body fades miserbly. So there I prove my points!

Oh I know Hollywood leaves stuff out due to timing or how the audience will effect to it, budget, how successful the movie will or will not be, ect. I am also not complaining because as you can see with these little plot facts that the movie was both successful and it followed the movie almost to the tee which is a rare thing now in days

It's short but it's pretty good I think. I found it by ordering it from another public to my library

=o I should try that. I looked on a book store website today and found like, a book for kids with a picture of the characters from the movie on the front. Would that be it? Or is that a different version, like a junior novelization of the movie instead of the actual full story?

Is there by chance any way we can see what the real Ferngully cover book looks like? I might go check it out at a libary one of these days, but I need to see what it looks like before I can know how it is cause I know they might ask.

Hrm, well...I will save up money to buy that version, though I'm afraid it might not be there, unless used copy.
