The deviantart link is some fanart I finished today of Hexxus.
I'd just like to introduce myself today, and tell you some of the things that have made me love Fern Gully as much as I do.
My name is Dakota. I'm 18 years old, and Fern Gully has always been one of my favorite movies. My mom and I loved this movie so much that she called me Batty Koda more than she actually called me Dakota.
A lot of my memories with her were of watching this movie with her, or playing imagination games as the different characters. I had a Batty Koda doll that I wore into the ground. I miss him, haha. My mom, unfortunately, died of breast cancer in 2003. For a while I couldn't watch Fern Gully. Eventually we sold all our VHS movies, Fern Gully being on of them. About five months ago I was browsing through the Walmart 5-dollar bin and found Fern Gully on DVD. I bought it in a heartbeat.
My favorite characters are Hexxus and Batty Koda (obviously). I think Fern Gully kinda defeated its own purpose by making Hexxus the coolest/sexiest character in the movie. Haha. I'm not complaining though!
