So, I 've been watching quite a bit of Dr. Seuss DVD's lately in order to relive my childhood, and I was wondering if anybody here grew up with Dr. Seuss. I know I did! My mom raised me on Dr. Seuss as well as Disney and Don Bluth. My favorite Dr. Seuss character is the Grinch, without a doubt. I always liked him when I was little. I have no idea why, but his shows always intrigued me more than any other Dr. Seuss program, especially Grinch Night, which is my favorite Dr. Seuss TV show ever! So how about you guys? Do any of you have a favorite Seuss character, or TV show?

I was a weird little kid. xD I grew up more on don bluth than Dr Seuss. Actually, it's kind of odd..I know we had at least green eggs and ham, but I don't recall much of it- so Dr Seuss wasn't a big part of my childhood. I FEEL SO LEFT OUT. however, i did get to learn a lot about mr Seuss in my history of animation class! Very interesting guy. <:

I wasn't too into Dr. Seuss either, Shauni, so don't feel weird. xD But I did have some favorites as a very tiny kid - like green eggs and ham and my father practically raised me on "How the Grinch stole Christmas." We'd watch it every year in December.

I'm jealous! Did you take that class in regular school or did you take it in college? It's good to see that a couple of you have grew up with How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It's one my favorites as well, but for some reason I've always preferred Grinch Night. Grinch Night just rocked my socks when I was little, and it still does!

Lol Shauni if you think you and Magic Missy feel left out for not liking the Dr. Seuss than all of you should get this; I love the Dr. Seuss books but I HATED the grinch when I grew up! I had such a big fear on him like you would NOT believe! I love the Cat in the Hat more, just not the Grinch cause he still scares me a lot haha! XDD

I can see why some people would be afraid of the Grinch, Nilla Joy, but for some wierd reason I was never afaraid of him! There have been only a few things in movies that scared me as a kid (the wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz being one of them!), but for some strange reason I was never afraid of the Grinch. I just always thought he was an interesting character, and after watching The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat (another one of my favorites!), I felt as if he was a very misunderstood character as well. And, I don't why, but I've never really been big on the Cat in the Hat. Sure, I like him, but I don't like him as good as the Grinch. To this day I really don't know why. I think I was just a really wierd kid growing up, and even today I still think I'm a wierd kid, even though I'm twenty-one.

Oh, yes, the Lorax is pretty good. Sadly I don't remember growing up with it as a kid but I did get it on DVD awhile back so I got to watch it for the frist time! I liked it. Anybody remember the Once-lers? I thought it was interesting how you can tell how they were a Grinch-type race but you never actually got to see their faces.

Oh yes I remember the Once-Lers and always wondered if they were the same kind of species of that of the Grinch
