haha, well I'm not posting a link- but I am ASKING for one, so?

I took a fairly long break from role playing. I had other things to do than spend hours online. School, life, fresh air, etc.
I still will have things to do this summer- a vacation at the end of July/early August, and a job of some sort. But still, I'll have some time.
I've kind of been missing role playing. One of the sites I was at died, unfortunately- and the other I had to quit, so I'm afraid to rejoin. They have a billion members anyway, so yeah.
I'm looking for decent role playing sites. I prefer ones that are in the range of semi-lit- literate. (advanced sites are fun, but they tend to be pretentious- and I don't want to put up with crap like that.)
I'm looking for a site that...has enough members to keep role plays alive, but not TOO many members. I'm a bit shy if it's over 30 active members.
As far as topics...there are specific things I'd like more than others. But, I want to see if you guys know anything. I do like playing ocs, but there are fandoms where I can most certainly manage to play canon characters only.
