Hello to all you fellow FernGully fans,

I'm so happy to have finally found an active community that celebrates this timeless classic. I've loved FernGully ever since I was a toddler, and it remains one of my alltime favorite films to this day.

I must admit, I've been lurking here for about a week or two, just to see if this forum was still active. But today I decided to join so I may participate in conversations and become an active community member.

Thanks so much to the people who started this fansite, because as they say in the movie; a dream worth keeping will never fade away . . . and FernGully is that dream, for many people.

Actually, I did have one question; I noticed that some users have a picture in their signature. But when I go to edit that in my profile, it only allows the option for text, but no picture URL.

I'm wondering if you need a special type of account for pictures in your signature, or how I might get one if not?

I tried for myself to see if the text supported picture url. As you all can see, I guess it does.

Aw, thanks! I'm glad to be a new member, too.

Yeah, I love Goanna in all his big-lipped alligator moment glory, haha. FernGully is one of those rare movies for me where I love every single character. I picked Goanna to show because I noticed no one else had anything with him here, avatar-wise.

I know the art isn't great, because I didn't use my tablet for those two - but it's my own.

I also am the #1 fan of Hexxus! So naturally, I love your avatar. <3

I watched that review and was annoyed with it because those two dissed one of my favorite movies pretty bad. Some jokes were funny, though untrue, but I think they're missing out on a great movie if they think it's bad.

Aw, thanks so much. <3 The art was done in a quickish/unclean manner, so the lines are pretty blah when I look at them. Anyway, I use a free program called GIMP, which is similar to Photoshop - without the wallet-slimming. I'd be happy to make art for anybody who wants it, as I love to draw.

Oh yes, Tim Curry's voice is...well, there are no words, are there? Anyway, Hexxus is my favorite villain EVER! He exudes sheer awesomeness. <3333 We toxic lovers shall rejoice!

So you're a Goanna fan? Well consider yourself lucky! You're the first Goanna fan that we have. The others are mostly fans of Hexxus or Batty Koda. I for one am one of those Batty Koda fans.

I am also a nostalgia critic fan at first I wasn't happy about the ferngully video when I watched for the first time but the second time I loved it, they're videos are hilarious

Yeah, that's true. They did miss points and everything, but like you said- if they hate it, then they're missing out. I guess one of the reasons it doesn't bug me that much is because I like to mock things that I even like .xD I'm not sure why, it's usually a hyperactive sugar high type thing.

Oh it's no problem at all, FaPingMulan. I'm sure you guys are all pretty busy, and I don't mind waiting on questions. Everybody here seems really nice too, so I feel quite welcome. And yes, I think Goanna deserves more love, don't you? Also I haven't seen any Magi Lune avatars/sigs, and I think she's a really neat chara as well.

Haha, I understand about that hyperactive sugar thing, HeXXus. You can't go wrong with that.

Unfortunately I don't have a Deviantart account, but it's one of my favorite websites and I love to check out people's art there. A VERY talented community on that website. A bit intimidating. But I might get one if I can figure out how to use my tablet with this computer. It works with my laptop, but my desktop is the one with internet, so...we shall see.
