OMG. So I went to work today and got to give the cranky eagle a bath, annnnd help clean off/hold/weigh baby turtles. <3 They were so adorable.

Want to know something really funny?

So, the nature sanctuary I help out at is DEEP in the woods. Really deep. I was waiting for my mom to come pick me up, since we only have one car on days my dad is downtown ( and obviously she needs the van for her own stuff, so I can't drive it down to work alone and keep it)

ANYWAY. I was waiting, and it was raining lightly. It was really nice- sitting out there surrounded by wildlife and trees, listening to the birds I didn't mind waiting at all.

All of the sudden, I hear chainsaws. No, seriously- chainsaws. Like people were cutting down trees. Which startled me at first because I've never heard this out there and it's a protected forest. You're not allowed to develop or build on the land unless you're one of the park rangers and such.

So I just sat there, not sure where it was coming from- listening to the sound of chainsaws going 'who the heck is out here doing stuff'.

And y'know what I did?

I made up a lame ferngully joke. xD

I seriously was all ' haha omg hexxus and the leveler are going to kill us all. D;'

and then my mom came 10 minutes later so we left, haha.

I AM SAD BECAUSE NOBODY WAS THERE TO SHARE IN THE LAME MOMENT OF MY LAME FERNGULLY JOKE.
