Hexxus spoke, eyes narrowing to slits as he watched the human responsible for shutting down the leveler before once again try to put a stop to him. The blonde-haired man was nothing but a slithering little pustule in the eyes of Hexxus, who directed the leveler's ominous claws toward the barrier the human was attempting to construct. "You think that's going to stop us? HA!" The leveler's claws wrapped themselves around either end of the construct, rose it into the air, and snapped it in half before feeding the pieces into its gullet. "Not today, not in a week, and NOT EVER WILL YOU STOP ME AGAIN!" After taking in another long woft of the machine's exhaust, Hexxus started in on another house, running over a pet dog that had been barking in the process, paying it no heed as though it had never been there. |

Zak had been knocked down by some bit of debris from the claws of leveler breaking his blockade in half. He forced himself to his feet closing his eyes shut for a brief moment as the Leveler ran over a dog resisting the urge to gag as he now stared at the body that now resembled bloody road kill. Another idea had then occurred to him. He needed to cut off the source of fuel to stop the leveler. Using the roof of a van he climbed onto the roof of a house to get the proper height waiting for the Leveler to pass by and jumping on the roof of it as he did so. His plan being to plug up the smoke pipes on top

Hexxus was all-too-aware of that tactic. He was going to be smart about his attack this time, and allowing some miniscule human to shut down his beloved machine was not on his list of things to accomplish. He kept his ears peeled, listening for any interruptions that might ensue. In one foul swoop, Hexxus made a swift 180, streams of smoke falling through the air as his pupil-less eyes glared down at Zak standing atop the leveler's roof. "Not this time!" he bellowed in that throaty voice as his left hand rose to backhand the human from his standing.

Zak backed up slightly to avoid being hit almost losing his footing falling onto his knees after regaining his balance

Hexxus let loose a growl from the depths of his throat, as he leaned in, palms flat against the leveler's roof, going after Zak as though he were crawling at a high speed along the roof. "Get off says my beloved!" He hollared, reaching once more for the man in an attempt to grab him and throw him from the leveler.

Zak backed up a couple steps until he realized he could not go any further looking down behind him

Hexxus leaned down further until his massive, broad face was just inches from Zak's. "Keep it movin', little man," he spoke in almost a whisper, hinting that he wanted Zak to take one more step and fall from the back of the leveler.

Knowing he was taking a huge risk he quickly moved to the side almost falling off clinging to the edge for a moment before pulling himself up. He stands back up on his feet but when the leveler bumps slightly as it ran over something else he lost his footing clinging to the edge of it again

Hexxus leaned to the side, and began to pluck Zak's fingers off the edge one by one, "This little piggy went to market... this little piggy stayed home..." Meanwhile, it was as though he had divided his brain in half, one part controlling himself and the other controlling the leveler, which continued its path of destruction through the neighborhood unscathed by Hexxus' distraction.

(It might not be up for a little while though lol. And I'm so gonna draw the this little piggy went to the market too 'cause it's just asking for it lol)
Zak glares though he kept his teeth gritted bracing himself for the fall though it was not as much as a huge fall from when he had been three inches tall it would still be a painful one. More than anything he wished Hexxus wasn't smoke so he could have the satisfaction of swacking him good but since he was he knew there would be no point in doing it, his hand would only go right through him after all.

"... And this little piggy went WEEE WEE WEEE all the way home!" Hexxus exclaimed followed by a loud and thunderous laugh. Now that the distraction had been taken care of, Hexxus returned his attention to the road ahead. Police lined the streets, guns aimed in the direction of the Spirit of Destruction, who only sucked the bullets and gun powder into his being when they were fired at him. This left the police officers dumbfounded, not knowing what to do. The leveler was even armored enough that shooting at it did no help. After all, it was designed to withstand a 200ft. tree falling onto it should an accident happen. It was one measly little cop's idea to shoot at the windshield of the machine, which inevitably knocked one of the thick panes of glass from its rim in shatters. The crinkling sound of the glass hitting the leveler's control panel stopped Hexxus in his mental tracks. A massive hand curled about the waist of the officer responsible before Hexxus ingested him, weaponry and all. Now he was mad.

(I might draw them sometime this week or next week and post them on here as well as Deviantart :3) Zak had shut his eyes tightly not so not too look when the cop had been devoured as it left a sick feeling in his stomach and he again had to resist the urge to gag

Hexxus' snowy grey brows turned in as he angrily spoke to the crowd forming, "Next one hurts this magnificent machine gets the same!" His thunderous and throaty voice rang through the air as the leveler plucked off animal after animal, human after human, tree after tree and house after house. What was left behind him was a smoking, desolate wasteland that looked as though an F5 tornado had passed through the neighborhood.

Zak had taken shelter behind some debris of a house Hexxus had destroyed and passed by. He looks up slightly glaring and shaking his head. 'I have to get help' he thought before turning to face the other direction. His mind made up, he would sneak back to Ferngully and rally the others. Slowly he gets up and after making sure no one saw him he took off heading straight for Ferngully ignoring the pain he was feeling from the brusies and cuts he had previously recieved deciding to deal with them later as it was not important at the moment.

Hexxus figured the man had just given up, and wasn't worried about him for the time being. The leveler pushed through into a park. He only stopped when an angry mob with torches, rifles, and pitchforks stood in his path, its leader hollering, "What do you think you're doing to our home?!" Hexxus blinked, "I am simply fulfilling my purpose." With that, the leveler's engine revved, and Hexxus made his way onward, over the crowd and into the woodland running through the park.
