Does anybody here enjoy the Harry Potter movies? I love watching them at the theaters with my mom. I'm a huge fan of the books, as well, because I started reading them when the first one came out, so I think grew up with them!

Hey, that's fine with me! I'm not one of those fans who likes to beat up somebody just because they don't like something that I'm fond of. In school I had several friends who hated Harry Potter but I got along with them just fine. We were friends since kindergarten!

Actually, one of friends got into the books after he saw me reading them for years. I guess he just got curious but now he's really enjoying the books. That made me happy. And I agree with you, too, Nilla Joy, about what you said about flaming and stuff. I don't like people bashing the things I love, either, but I don't think I ever got into any arguments with one of my friends over the books. I do, however, hate it when grown people, espically parents, don't allow their children to read the books just because they think they're evil. Now that makes me mad! Adults should know better! |

I love the books.  I also like the movies, but I think I prefer the books a little more. Still, I am very excited to go see the films. I need to catch the new one sometime soon before it's out of theaters. I know people who don't like the books either, so don't worry if you're not all over them Nilla. I love Harry potter, but I don't like the Twilight series at all- and I know people who are the opposite of me. We never flame or bash each other, and never get into fights over who is 'better' because that's just silly. We all like what we like. |

Yeah, sometimes I think I prefer the books, too! A lot more happens in them, of course.
Still, over the past weekend I did finally get to watch the latest Potter movie and I was really impressed by it. My mom loved it, I loved it, and I heard my librarian loved it! We all loved the movie. Yay!
Though, as a major fan of the books, I wish they could've put more scenes in from the book, but I know they had to cut some scenes out because of time and stuff, so I really didn't mind.

Looking back at the commericals (I still refused to watch the movies or the book) It's amazing how much they grown over all of the 6 to 7 Harry Potter films they did together. It's like raising child actors on one old TV show til they reach adulthood and are not babies anymore.

I finally watched the first movie two days ago lol. It was actually pretty good Cool! That's awesome! Do you have a favorite character yet? I've always liked the Weasleys. When the third book came out Sirius became a favorite of mine, too, and I also like Snape and Draco. But I always related to Hermonie the most. She hung out with those boys, throughout all of those school years, and when I was in school all of my friends were boys! And I really hope you get a chance to read the books because I think they're fantastic. I've been reading them since I was ten years old and here I am going on twenty! I never really got tired of them! And I love watching the actors grow up! As for the last movie, Shauni, it was really good, and well worth the ticket price, but no movie is perfect. I actually think they could've put a bit more scenes in from the book to make the plot clearer but the special effects were incredible! |
